Zambian Nurse & UNZA Student Writes A Book

Margaret Kapansa Lesa, or Sister Margaret, is a dedicated Zambian Registered Theatre Nurse and student at The University of Zambia pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her strong Christian faith is evident as an active song leader at Winners Chapel Church International in Kitwe. With leadership roles in health, Margaret served as Sister in Charge at East Garneton Health Post and held key positions in the Garneton Clinic and Kwacha Clinic.

Who else is Margaret?

Beyond her medical career, she is an entrepreneur and the founder of Margieh’s Kitchen, specializing in Zambian meals and cakes. As a farmer, Margaret cultivates crops and distributes products across Kitwe and Zambia, embodying her commitment to women’s empowerment. Married to Peter Lesa with four children, she uses writing to support mothers on their journey.

Margaret‘s Book

This year, Margaret has taken a huge step further to change her community even more by publishing her first book with Zambian ARTS Publishing House entitled “20 Secrets of Academic Success for Mothers”.

What is this book about?

This book delves into the profound challenge of harmonizing the roles of motherhood, spousal responsibilities, and a career. Amidst the inevitable difficulties, every woman nurtures aspirations and dreams of accomplishing something remarkable or pursuing personal goals before the twilight of life. The journey is arduous, demanding reliance on the grace of God to navigate life’s complexities and attain academic success. Addressing the reader directly, the author underscores the transformative power of belief, asserting that with unwavering faith as the driving force, any endeavor becomes possible. Serving as both inspiration and encouragement, this work resonates as a guide for women navigating the intricate demands of life, offering a poignant narrative that speaks to the resilience and potential inherent in every woman’s journey.

Speaking on the 26th of January, 2024 at the launch of Mr. Collins Mwale’s “Tapping Into Your Enjoyable & Successful Marriage” book launch at ECL Complex in Kitwe, Ms. Kapansa emphasized that women should ensure to learn skills that can sustain and make them more productive members of society. She further addressed in her speech the need for men to be fully aware of the requirements and roles expected during marriage before marriage itself.

Margaret Kapansa Lesa now plans to publish more books that will help shape society in a positive way.
